In the United States, there are currently 575 federally recognized Indian tribal governments. Many are remote and isolated, with little infrastructure to build upon.
But in spite of this and other challenges, Tribal Nations have learned to prosper, and in many cases, are the local catalyst for vibrant and positive economic development in their communities.

The following are the states with the number of Federally-recognized Tribes headquartered there:
